Welcome Note

Welcome from the College Advisor

NAC’s College Advising Program is designed to help students explore their strengths and interests in order to gain admission to the colleges and universities that best suit their ambitions and aspirations. Through the college search process, students will develop decision-making skills, assess their priorities, set realistic goals, and explore a variety of options. I will work closely with both students and parents in the college exploration, selection, and application process.

Seniors and juniors will always require the most time and attention because, of course, they are closest to the process. On the College Advising web pages, you will find links to calendars we advise students to follow in grade 11 and 12, giving test and registration dates and other relevant information. But I hope that the parents of grades 9 and 10 students will begin talking to their children early and that you will feel comfortable scheduling a meeting with me just to begin to think about what your options might be and what course selections to make in grades 11 and 12.
