Narmer American College is an independent school which offers an American curriculum with American methods of instruction Founded in 2000, the school campus has outstanding facilities. Faculty experience represents over 50 different locations in the world. Our faculty work personally with each student, taking the responsibility of not only helping the students achieve their educational goals, but also preparing them for their future. The school annually awards diplomas, representing a 100 percent graduation rate: thus, achieving its mission "to prepare students to succeed in the universities of their choice in Egypt and abroad." The PreK-12 curriculum is aligned to the Virginia Standards of Learning. Students experience internal assessments and external standardized testing. The International Schools Assessment (ISA) is given to all Grades 3-9 students. The PSAT is taken in Grade 10 and the SAT / SAT II in Grades 11 and/or 12. Regional academic competitions allow students to be challenged in math and science. Dual instruction (Arabic and English) for social studies courses in Grades 6, 9 and 10 clarifies academic expectations while preparing students for the Egyptian Ministry of Education National Exams. The fine arts department continues to expand its offerings and performances. Elementary concerts are scheduled once a month. A school musical performance is held once a year which includes a big cast and theatre, art and music opportunities for students. Middle and high school students may take a choir, band, and keyboard or guitar class. An interdisciplinary trip to Prague for art and social studies credit is in the curriculum for students grades 9-12.
